Why We Reject Clinics

An honest disclosure of the clinical grounds that lead to disqualification from our verified specialist registry.

ClinicRanks is an independent audit board, not a paid advertising directory. Unlike standard business yellow pages, we actively reject clinics that fail our clinical credentials and hygiene safety standards. Below is a detailed look at the four primary reasons we exclude dental clinics.

1. BDS-Only Generalists Posing as Specialists

Many general practitioners holding only a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree advertise themselves as specialists in orthodontics, endodontics, or dental implants. In our directory, we require full, university-certified postgraduate Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degrees for all specialty listings. BDS generalists are rejected from specialty listings because quality patient care requires specialized residency training.

2. Inability to Maintain Proper Sterilization

Clinics are immediately excluded if they are unable to maintain proper sterilization. We audit clinical logs for weekly biological spore testing and the usage of Class B fractionated vacuum autoclaves. We reject clinics that use outdated chemical-only indicator tape without autoclave spore-testing logs, or fail basic waterline safety compliance, as these present major patient cross-infection risks.

3. Commercial Paid-Placement / Bribery Attempts

Directories usually rank clinics based on monthly advertising spend or bidding commissions. If a clinic offers to pay us for sponsored placements, featured slots, or ranking boosts, they are permanently blacklisted from our registry. ClinicRanks sorts profiles purely on audited merit, years of experience, and clinical records.

4. Mismatched Licensing and Council Registrations

Every listed dentist must match the registration number on their state council list and the National Dental Commission register. If we find mismatched records, expired licenses, or pending malpractice investigations in NDC files, the clinic is excluded until all registrations are updated and verified.

Reporting Listing Errors

If you believe a listed clinic has compromised safety standards or holds outdated registrations, please submit a report on our Correction Request Portal or message our registry desk directly.
