Find Dentists Get Verified Book Appointment

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 19, 2026. How we manage and safeguard your information.

1. Overview

ClinicRanks ("we," "us," or "our") operates as a public-interest dental specialist registry and verification database. We are committed to protecting the privacy of patients who submit clinical feedback and dentists who request listing verification. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and our strict safeguards against commercial misuse.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum amount of personal information required to authenticate clinical experiences and credentials:

  • For Patients (Review Verification): We collect your full name, visit timing, treatment type, and a verified identifier (WhatsApp number or email address). We also log the submitting IP address to audit review authenticity and identify bot-net spam.
  • For Dentists (Listing Claims): We collect your professional email address, state dental council registration number, clinic location metadata, and a verification document copy (e.g. NDC degree certificate).
  • Anonymous Logs: We log basic, non-identifying technical metadata (browser type, screen width, visited links) to optimize our responsive styling.

3. How We Use and Share Information

ClinicRanks has a zero-commercial-sharing guarantee. We use your data exclusively to:

  • Cross-reference review inputs against booking tokens to award "Verified Booking" credentials.
  • Moderate review authenticity score counts to prevent fake reviews.
  • Verify dental license registrations against NDC official public files.

⚠️ We never sell user data, share phone numbers with marketing networks, or monetize patient records. Dentists cannot buy access to patient verification data.

4. Data Security and Hosting

All data is encrypted in transit using secure HTTPS protocols and stored in databases managed with strict row-level security. Verification numbers and email files are isolated and never publicly exposed on dentist profiles. If a patient opts to post "anonymously," their name is stripped from public output, and only their clinical rating and treatments are shown.

5. Legal Compliance (GDPR, India IT Act)

We operate in alignment with the Indian Information Technology Act (Section 43A) regarding reasonable security practices for personal sensitive data, and respect the core parameters of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Patients hold the right to request deletion of their review and verification phone records at any time.

6. Contact and Data Requests

If you wish to view, update, or permanently delete your verified patient records or review submissions, please contact our data moderator desk at Registry Desk.
